Big Sam climbs above West Ham.
Getting a load of stick about this.

"West Ham part company with a great manager for a European fancy Dan.

Now big Sam is showing us what we're missing.

West Ham should have kept him on etc. etc."

That's the gist of it. Really wound up about Palace getting above West Ham.

Hope we finish the season strong.

They'll realise before long.

Probably around the time they're clawing their own eyes out with toothpicks.

He's done his job AGAIN and done it well. I thought both Sunderland and Palace when he took over were certainties for the drop.

Not the right man for us but you have to give him his due. He's very good at what he does.

yes, we're really missing his 'protect the point' philosophy. a cunt who admitted over achievement was dangerous and now the same cunts are romanticising about a greedy anti football dinosaur who hated everything about our history. sickening

Re: Big Sam climbs above West Ham.
Palace were not certainties for relegation when he took over. They weren't even in the bottom 3.

yeah the amazing thing is I said at the beginning of the season we should have gone for Benteke and walcott... and I almost got laughed off here as every fucking div believed on here we was billy big bollocks and we was better than them... near on 40 fucking goals....40 fucking goals....all gone quiet from all those early season disenters

Re: Big Sam climbs above West Ham.
I'd rather get relegated than have that cunt of a man 'managing the fans expectations'. Give him enough time and even mongy Palace fans will see that his psuedo-science and statistical bollocks doesn't really add up.

It doesn't make any difference where Palace end up in the table- they will forever be in our shadow. I remember people saying that Charlton were a bigger club than us at one point.

Re: Big Sam climbs above West Ham.
Anyone who says we should have kept him either isn't a West Ham fan or didn't go very often when he was manager.

They'll soon get bored of him and want him out, as we did. Watching his teams is fucking painful and I never want us to employ a manager with his "style" ever again.

Re: Big Sam climbs above West Ham.
How many times. Sam gets results. Gets the job done. Done it here, doing it there. Might not be pretty but it's effective. Do I want him back? No, but to suggest the attempt at playing football "the west ham way" this season at is any better than what we got under allardyce is fanciful, in fact it's taking the piss. Oh and we are not over the finish line yet.

Re: Big Sam climbs above West Ham.
I couldn’t give a fuck, yes I would have liked to have seen Palace go down and the myth finally ended, but lets face it, Palace have a decent squad, its no surprise to me they have got out of a tricky position, but I think Pardew would have dug them out as well.

BFS is at his level, if he inherits a decent enough squad, and remember most clubs he leaves tend to go one way and that’s down, we are the only real exception, but maybe ask Blackburn, Bolton or Newcastle what sort of state he left those clubs in? Oh and Sunderland, they have had a good season since he left…………….

Would I have him back? FUCK OFF

Re: Big Sam climbs above West Ham.
Sydney,

You're spot on, and yet even that has become one of Allardyce's favourite 'achievements'. I can't think of many other jobs where "look at the mess I left them in" is seen as a positive, never mind how you would get away with gloating about the failures of your previous employers.

Don't want BFS back but Billic needs to go.
14th place with more chance of finishing even lower than higher is fucking pathetic and unacceptable¡

Do you think we are a top four club then, Brentford, son?

Not surprised,he's a good manager.

Re: Big Sam climbs above West Ham.
He inherited good attacking players from Pardew so all he has done is tighten them up.

Would he have brought Zaha, Townsend or Cabaye?

No.

Trevor B 9:29 Mon Apr 24
Re: Big Sam climbs above West Ham.
Let's not forget that he spent about 35m on three defensive players and also brought in Sakho on loan.

Re: Big Sam climbs above West Ham.
So if we go back above them it was the right decision?

We're just having a poor season. It happens. I can't really believe that there's anyone who would truly prefer BFS to Slav.
